Map data & attribution
The takt. Hamburg map uses geographic data from OpenStreetMap. The basemap is prepared as a PMTiles tileset using Protomaps basemap tooling and rendered in the app with MapLibre GL JS.
OpenStreetMap data is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. The linked “© OpenStreetMap” notice shown with the map identifies the data source and leads to the applicable licence and contributor information.
The event, venue, editorial, attendance, and live-pulse information displayed on top of the basemap is takt. content and is maintained separately from the OpenStreetMap geographic database.
The map attribution is shown when the map opens. It collapses after five seconds or as soon as the user interacts with the map; the remaining information button links back to this explanation.
The worldwide home-city search uses place names, country data, coordinates, and timezones from GeoNames, made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Protomaps requests project credit for its basemap tooling and styles, but its published guidance makes the visible OpenStreetMap attribution the required credit for OpenStreetMap-derived tilesets.
